CALENDAR OF EVENTS
July 28, 2010 McCamey D to Kendall to Gillespie Project: The Public Utility Commission of Texas last week changed the schedule for some June and July filing dates associated with CREZ projects, including LCRA TSC's McCamey D-to-Kendall-to-Gillespie project. The filing deadline for that project was moved from July 6 to July 28. The PUC has 180 days from the filing date to make a decision on the route for the new 345-kilovolt transmission line. In addition, landowners and others desiring to intervene will have 30 days from the filing date in which to request intervention.

The Texas Hill Country Heritage Association believes in local control and believes issues affecting our economy, environment, and private property rights are best protected by local elected officials who are closest to the people. THCHA supports and encourages local leaders to utilize one of the most effective tools available to protect the local priorities by forming planning commissions under the Texas Local Government Code 391 that requires federal and state agencies to coordinate any plans or policies with local communities.
